Part of Bethesda Workshops’ mission is to serve as a trusted resource for churches as they care for individuals, couples, and families impacted by pornography use, compulsive sexual behavior, betrayal trauma, and relational pain.
With that in mind, we are pleased to announce the release of our new Toolkit for Churches, a practical guide created for pastors, ministry leaders, and church staff.
Church leaders are often among the first people someone turns to when a hidden struggle comes into the light. These critical conversations can be complicated and difficult to navigate. This toolkit gives leaders a starting point for how to listen well, reduce shame, ask helpful questions, recognize when specialized care may be needed, support betrayed partners, understand teen concerns, and guide people toward appropriate next steps and resources.
This resource is not intended to replace counseling or clinical care. Rather, it is designed to strengthen the church’s ability to offer wise, compassionate support and care.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve churches in this way and hope this toolkit will be a helpful companion for pastors and leaders. Please feel free to share it with your pastor, church staff, or ministry leaders who may find it helpful.
